Ciprofloxacin USP

Introduction :

Cipromet is a broadspectrum antibacterial agent of the Fluoroquinolone group. It is a powerful anti-infective drug having broadspectrum activity, highly useful even in certain difficult type of infections.

Composition :

Each film coated tablet contains 250 mg Ciprofloxacin USP.

Each film coated tablet contains 500 mg Ciprofloxacin USP.

Indications :

Cipromet is indicated for the treatment of single or mixed infcetions caused by two or more susceptible organisms. It can be used even in infections due to pathogens resistant to other antibiotic including Aminoglycosides, Penicillins and Cephalosporins. Cipromet attains a very high penetration capacity in the tissues which enables it to be used alone or along with Aminoglycosides or beta-lactum antibiotics or with an active drug against anaerobes.

The following infections can be effectively treated by Cipromet :

Systemic infections : Septicaemia, Bacteraemia, Peritonitis, Infected burns.

Respiratory tract infections : Actue & chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, empyema, Lobar and Bronchopneumonia.
